In today’s world, church members expect reasonable measures to be in place to protect them and their families when at work, school and church. This course is designed to assist attendees develop, or formalize, a church safety and security program. The seminar focuses on church industry best practices that protect the children, protect the worship experience and protect the ministry.
Church Safety Team Development
The Sheepdog’s job is to watch over the flock, getting involved only when a wolf appears with an intent to prey on the sheep.
A church safety team is very similar. It is used to watch over the church and identify risk and threat hazards BEFORE causing harm to the church or its members. The team helps ensure safe and secure operations of the church and oversees the safety of its staff, members, guests, and property.
This 4-hour course details the components and philosophy of a church safety team program.
Church Violence & Active Shooter Response Protocols
This course is for church staff and volunteers with responsibilities for Emergency Preparedness & Response to address active threats and other violent incidents that occur on church properties. It is a fact that trained actions taken by staff and members during an emergency will save more lives than emergency first responders. Statistically, once a shooting starts a life is taken every 15 seconds. It is imperative that staff and members act quickly to implement a trained response to violence.
